I miss the laughs we shared ....
I miss the road trips taken .....
I miss catching fish together ....
I miss hearing your stories .....
I miss sitting on your knee .....
I miss fighting with you ....
I miss the sounds of your coughing and sneezing.....
I miss you buying me Chicken Nuggets from McDonalds...
I miss having you there for a hug .....
I miss your big strong hands, which protected me from the harsh world
I miss you scratching my back and making me feel safe....
But most of all........
I miss YOU!
I miss having the essence of you with me in my life
You shall forever be with me in some way and be a part of my life
I miss you nonetheless........

This was a very special poem I wrote about my grandfather with whom I was very close. He had an important infulence on my life. Some of my first, most important lessons, I learned from him. I love and miss him greatly and its hard to believe its been 5 years since he's been gone. I maintain a strong connection with both him and my grandmother to this day. I miss them but there are many moments when I can feel them with me, sharing this journey with me!
